St. Louis County and Creve Coeur beat out many other U.S. regions for a $500,000 grant from the U.S. Department of Commerce to expand innovation.
The funds will be used to expand a master plan around the Donald Danforth Plant Science Center to include additional research buildings, office, retail, residential space and other amenities, according to KSDK.
The master plan process is expected to take up to nine months and construction could begin soon after. That’s according to Denny Coleman, CEO of the St. Louis Economic Development Partnership.
