CenturyLink, the Louisiana-based cloud and IT services company, opened a new development center near its Town & Country-based co-location and hosting operations.
The new 46,000-square-foot center, on the fourth floor of 575 Maryville Centre Drive, will house about 190 employees focused on automating and developing managed services for business customers.
The company is expected to add another 40 jobs there in the near future.
Terms of the deal, or how much CenturyLink invested in the space, were not disclosed.
It’s the third development center for CenturyLink, which has two similar facilities in Seattle and Monroe, Louisiana.
CenturyLink is St. Louis’ seventh-largest data center operator when ranked by local IT specialists and has about 1,300 employees locally.
