Ford Motor Co. will add 900 new jobs at its Kansas City Assembly Plant in Claycomo to meet strong demand for the newly launched 2015 Ford F-150 pickup.
The hiring in Kansas City is the lion’s share of an overall announcement that Ford will create 1,550 new jobs nationwide to support F-150 production. About 500 jobs will be added at Ford’s Dearborn Stamping and Dearborn Diversified plants in Michigan, and 150 jobs will be at its Sterling Axle facility in Michigan.
